OTA Update Released for AT&T HTC One M8; Still not Lollipop

Not long ago, HTC announced that an Android 5.0 Lollipop update for One M8 will be available by January 3rd. And although we already seen screenshots of Android Lollipop on HTC One M8 over the internet, unfortunetely AT&T only released the Android version 4.4.4 KitKat. Apparently, HTC missed the deadline for the Lollipop update and HTC One M8 owners might have to wait a little longer before they get the long awaited update.

Anyway, the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update enables HD Voice feature, improves battery performance, introduces security and Blootooth enhancements, adds a Copy and Paste camera feature and also updates Visual Voicemail and AT&T Ready2Go.

According to AT&T, the update file size is 208 MB and it can be downloaded via OTA over AT&T’s wireless network. This update can be also postponed, so you can update it manually. To initiate the update you can go to Settings > AT&T Software Update > Check for Updates.

Enjoy the new update and let us know what you think about the delaid Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
