Android 5.0 Lollipop leaked for Samsung Galaxy S4

The long awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop has been finally leaked for Samsung Galaxy S4. Android Lollipop for the S4 has been rumored several times before, but now it made its appearance and it happens to be the real deal.

Android 5.0 Lollipop, was quickly picked up by members of the XDA community, right after it leaked. The build is a 5.0.1 Android and according to the original source it should be good for GT-I9500, GT-9502, GT-9508 and GT-9508v versions. The only S4 smartphones which cannot use this build, are those having Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, like GT-9505 version. However, the Galaxy S4 leaked ROM has a Chinese Region, which means that some of the system messages will stay regionalized. Same thing for some functions, like the weather widget. English is available as a system language, though.

Except this and some other minor troubles that are fixable, the build seems to work alright, as said by users who already adopted the build. Connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Blootooth, NFC, 3G and 4G seem to work well, too.

Samsung Galaxy S4 is one of the best-selling Samsung smartphones and this update comes as a sweet surprise for any Galaxy S4 user. Just remember to backup all of your data before making the update, as this will erase your internal storage. And if you don’t feel adventurous enough, you can wait for the official OTA. Samsung already announced that Android 5.0 Lollipop is going to be available soon for Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2. Either way, it’s still not very clear when this will actually happen.

You can follow the source link, if you want to try out the Lollipop build on your Galaxy S4 and tell us what you think.
