Easily Root Verizon Galaxy S6 G920V with PingPongRoot tool

We are back with a fresh rooting guide for your new Galaxy S6 smartphone. As you can see, we are talking about the Verizon Galaxy S6 G920V version. The Keen Team from Shanghai has released PingPongRoot tool for the Verizon SM-G920V model and here we have more details about it.

The PingPongRoot tool is named so “because the vulnerability affects ping socket” and the team is Chinese. The tool is pretty easy to use, but we also want you to be aware of the fact that it is still in beta testing, so prepare for some small bugs and issues.

Aren’t you sure that this is what you want? Let us remind you the fact that if you choose to root your Galaxy S6, then you will open up infinite possibilities for your smartphones. Only the owners of a rooted device have the chance to customize it with any of the kernels that they want, can choose new custom ROMs and modified operating systems, can get rid of Samsung bloatware apps and transform a handset which is good into one which can be considered great.

Have we convinced you? The guide from below can be completed only after you take care of a few aspects. First of all, you can use this tutorial only with Verizon’s SM-G920V model, so don’t hesitate to check your phone’s version in ‘About Device’ menu. If the phone that you currently use doesn’t have thus model number, then you should close this tutorial as long as it is not for you.

You must also download and install the Samsung USB Drivers for your computer and disable all antivirus applications from running on your PC. Don’t hesitate to take a backup of your data, to enable USB Debugging from Developer Options and check the battery charge level and make sure that it is over 60% in order to prevent the phone from switching off during the rooting process.

No less important, we are here to guide you and the procedure has been tested, so do not blame us in case you brick the phone or lose any data in the process. And keep in mind that when root is achieved, the handset will lose its warranty (here we have a guide that might help you with that).

How to Root Verizon Galaxy S6 G920V with PingPongRoot tool:

  1. Download the party_beta1.7z file from here on your computer;
  2. After that, you have to extract it. Like that, you’ll get the pingpongroot_beta1.apk file;
  3. Establish the connection between your device and the PC by using the USB cord (the original one, in order to avoid any potential error);
  4. Transfer it to your Verizon Galaxy S6;
  5. Now, it’s time to install the apk file so, open the PingPongRoot app on your device and hit the “Get root!” button to begin the fun.
  6. These were all the steps that you had to take in order to successfully root your Galaxy S6 handset!
