Get BBM Experience on Android devices

A few years earlier, Blackberry ruled the smartphone market and many buyers preferred the company’s devices for having the chance to use the best hardware keyboard and the BBM messenger. Well, Blackberry handsets have been replaced with Android ones which occupy the first place on the current market, but this doesn’t change the fact that the BBM messenger is still a great choice, so I am glad to see that we can get a true BBM Experience on our high-end Android smartphones and tablets.

BBM offers users a private social network for fast conversations in real time, allowing them to stay connected and share instant messages and pictures on the go. In fact, its advantages are more than numerous: BBM is always on so its users are connected all the time and their messages on BBM are delivered and read within seconds, so it’s almost like a live conversation.

BBM never forgets to tell you when messages are delivered and read, not to mention that you can choose your contacts and how to share the information.

With BBM you can do more than just chat. Feel free to share attachments like photos or voice notes, anytime you want. You can also BBM Groups if you want to invite up to 30 friends to chat together, to share your latest photos and don’t worry, every BBM user has a unique PIN, so you don’t have to share your phone number or your email address. Your privacy remains a top priority even in such a case.

You can select though a profile picture for your BBM contacts to see and you can choose to update your BBM status to let people know what you’re up to and how do you feel. And thanks to BBM Updates, you will immediately know when your contacts update their profile photos or statuses.

Do you want all these as well? BBM is available for free on Android devices running Ice Cream Sandwich and higher, so what are you waiting for? You can download BBM on your Android phone by visiting BBM.com or downloading the app directly from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

BBM can be taken directly from here, so enjoy it.

And knowing the popularity of BBM messenger among the Android users, it seems that @atnfas_hoak of XDA had tweaked the app to offer us even more features on the BBM app. The GBBM V1.15 is built on the BBM V2.6.0.30 app which is the most recent available in the Google Playstore. GBBM lets you backup and restore the chats which is a great advantage over the stock BBM app, but be sure that the list of new features is even longer and it includes Hide Read status, Change icons and copy nickname & status, Customize backgrounds, Change colors of notice icons and more.

Download the GBBM mod from this link and keep in mind that before installing the app, you must allow installation of apps from unknown sources. To do this, enable the Unknown sources option from Security and then install it like any other app.
