You must also enable USB-Debugging from Developer Options in the Settings menu of your LG G4. If you cannot find Developer Options, enable it by entering into Settings> About Phone> Build Number and tap it no less than 7 times until you see a small notification that you have enabled it. After that, go back to the Settings menu, now you will find Developer Options, so tap on this option and enable USB Debugging.
Prepare your laptop and make sure you have adb and fastboot installed on your PC, along with the proper USB drivers for your LG G4 Android phone.
