When it comes to be worried about a shortage of a certain category of apps on the Google Play store, you are certainly not thinking of the alarm clock apps. Things are more than generous at this chapter. With so many alarm clock apps that it’s almost impossible to find what you’re really looking for, but it seems that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the pro wrestler turned actor wants to narrow down your searches.

In fact, I must admit that he surprised everyone with the launch of his new motivational alarm clock app. The actor hopes that his Rock Clock app will inspire those wrestling with ambitious goals, but it’s actually ideal for all those trying to find excuses for not getting up in time.

The app comes with no less than 25 different alarm tones The Rock recorded himself (you can literally wake up to The Rock saying “beep” over and over which I found totally hilarious), but I must warn you of the fact that there is no snooze feature. The Rock is not a fan of that button and the app is his idea, so I’m sorry to disappoint you at this chapter, but there is nothing that you can do about.

The most interesting part is yet to come: I am talking about motivational videos and messages The Rock uploads from his personal phone day by day. When you open the app for the first time, it will ask you if you want to set a specific goal. Once you do, you’ll be greeted with motivating audio clips from The Rock, like “Let’s do this” as you set your alarm.

And you can even choose to set your alarm to “Rock Time” — supposedly when the star of HBO’s Ballers usually wakes up, but I have to warn you that it might not be the wisest thing to do. This could be as early as 5:30 a.m., so be careful. I was annoyed when I heard the alarm at such an hour, but to be honest, I went back to sleep with a huge smile on my face. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson might be a morning person, but I can achieve my goal after two more hours of sleep, that’s for sure!

You can download The Rock Clock for free on Android by entering here and be careful at the Rock time! Don’t say I haven’t warned you!

I bet that you will like the idea behind this clever app: you can set it up by registering a photo of an area from your house. Then, once the alarm is set, there is only one way to make it stop ringing: you must have the power to get out of bed and take a photo of the registered area;
