Yesterday, Samsung had big plans with their flagships Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4, which were supposed to skip the Android 4.2.2 update and directly receive the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Well, things didn’t go exactly as planned, and due to some performance issues, the update was delayed for a while, to make room for Samsung to carry out with the investigations. The issues included Random Freezing, Wake up Lag, Poor RAM Management, Wi-Fi issues and much more. The investigations squished some bugs in the 4.3 firmware and now the corporation is ready to launch its 4.3 update on Samsung Galaxy S3 in certain regions of Europe.
There were some SamMobile reports stating that the new 4.3 firmware carrying the build number I9300XXUGMK6, was built on November 28. Earlier reports from different forums worldwide affirmed that the issues the update encountered concerning its performance and stability had been fixed along with the latest build.
As our source states, the 4.3 firmware brings important updates to Samsung`s KNOX enterprise security platform, support for the Galaxy Gear smartwatch, and some changes in the core UI. Other important features included in the 4.3 update are GPU drivers updates, a new virtual QWERTY and S-Voice, the version taken from Samsung Galaxy S4. Also, a new featured lockscreen joins the club.
We will just have to wait and see how stable the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is and if these important features really improve the performances of your Samsung Galaxy S3. It will take though another couple of days to get it, and if you have a European Galaxy S3 and you get it before we do, let us know with a short comment.
And do not forget to enjoy your update to the full, as a leaked information which was revealed last month, stated that Android 4.4 will be soon hitting the GT-I9300 around March or April next year.
