CES 2014: Mobile Smart Display on Audi Described

Here we are folks, at the 2014 Consumer Electronic Show (CES), the week dedicated to all the technology that surrounds us every day, from electronic and futuristic cars to all kind smartphones, tiny little gadgets or other important aspects of our live that involves technology. But what I was impressed of, was the fact that with the 2014 CES an important step forward was made by uniting cars with Smartphone technology. I am talking about a particular kind of tablet that can now be found, for the first time, inside a car, breaking all the boundaries between a vehicle and an Android device.

I am referring to the Mobile Audi Smart Display, which is an Android 10.2-inch specially designed by Google for the driver and his car. The Android tablet connects itself to the car via a Wi-Fi interface, and as our source states, it can be used by both passengers from the rear and those found in the back of the car too.

Ricky Hudi, the head development for electrics and electronics, says that the Android tablet “has been developed specifically for in-car use, being designed with a strong body for crash resistance and extreme temperatures.

As already mentioned, the tablet has a 10.2-inch display, runs on Google OS and is beautifully armored by an aluminum chassis, which perfectly suits the Audi design. The tablet is powered by an Nvidia` s Tegra T40 processor.

What does exactly do the Mobile Smart Display Android powered-tablet?

Well, you can actually access Google Play Store while you are behind the wheels, get to download and interact with thousands of Google apps or enjoy the millions of videos.

By using the Audi`s sound system, you can listen to your favorite up-loads or just get the external headphones via Bluetooth for a more private listening.

I couldn’t have missed this article since I am so keen in technology…Android technology, and cars…of course. Oh yes, I love cars. Right now, both the car industry and the smartphone era can easily and wonderfully interact to create the perfect technological combination.
