AT&T brings fresh good news for all LG lovers worldwide as it will roll out the G2 flagship with an important update, which is Android 4.4 KitKat firmware. AT&T announced the release of the update on its official blog, after the update was also set for the HTC One. But what it is most importantly, is that the update brings significant features for the LG G2, features that will make your device run faster and last longer than it used to.

Important features to come with Android 4.4 KitKat update for LG G2:

Restyled interface. The Android 4.4 KitKat brings an important update to the phone`s interface, with a restyled navigation bars and status, full-new screen mode, a stronger security and better closed caption support.

Better battery. Another important feature to come with the update, is the smartphone`s feature for a better battery efficiency. The feature enhances a location mode for battery saving, which basically extends its life.

Faster processor. Android 4.4 KitKat also helps your phone`s processor, as it boosts the speed of the running applications up to 17% faster than previously reported. The update also improves web-browsing using the Chromium engine.

Cloud printing. With the help of Google Cloud Printer you can print documents, PDF files or even pictures using a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity.

“Knock On”. The update also comes with an improved “Knock On” feature, which allows you to wake your LG G2 by just tapping its screen twice, as our source mentions.

To be able to get the Android 4.4 KitKat update immediately on your G2, just hit your phone`s Settings, then go to General, move to About phone and Software Update, and finally “Update now to get started” and you are on your way to have the update ready to use it. Make sure your battery is at least 50% available, in order to properly download the update.
