Sony Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia E1 and Xperia M2 are Receiving Android 4.4 KitKat

Sony Mobile has just announced that its Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia E1 and Xperia M2 are finally receiving Android 4.4 KitKat update. Are you the owner of any of these handsets? Then, you should know that the company has just started the rollout for its Xperia T2 Ultra today, which means that you will most likely receive it in the next couple of days as well.

Android 4.4 KitKat Coming in a Staged Rollout

Anyway, you should keep in mind though that we are taking about a staged rollout, so it will take a while until it reaches all Sony Xperia devices. And don’t forget that not all regions will receive the new update at once, and if you bought your device through a carrier, you’ll most likely have to wait even longer than that.

As for those of you currently using the company’s Xperia E1 or Xperia M2, we also have great news coming from the company.

Sony Mobile has used its official blog to announce all readers that Xperia E1 and Xperia M2 are next in line for this KitKat update too, so there is no reason to be worried; you have not been forgotten, but you’ll actually receive Android 4.4 KitKat goodies as soon as possible.

Speaking of this version’s changes and improvements, here we have some small performance improvements, a refreshed UI, compatibility with Sony SmartWear devices (such as the SmartBand SWR10), as well as updates for all built-in Sony apps and not only.
