Quechua and Archos working together for Releasing new Android Smartphone

You are not at all wrong if you know Quechua as being a company which is popular for selling mountain sports gear and equipment. There is no confusion and we can confirm that the same Quechua has partnered with Archos for creating a Quechua smartphone. And it all starts to make sense when you’ll see that this new device comes with IP54 certification, being specially designed for all those having a specific lifestyle. And by that we mean how this Quechua smartphone will successfully resist to sand, dust, shock, mud, water, cold, or snow, being a perfect choice for all those who travel a lot and need a device which can be used in various extreme conditions.

Its power is offered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm chip paired with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. You can only imagine that this number isn’t all you get as long as it can be easily expanded via microSD card slot, while its 5 megapixel rear camera doesn’t come alone, but with a secondary 2 megapixel front-facing model.

We also know that this Quechua smartphone will feature a 5-inch WVGA display, but what about the fact that it will run on Android 4.1 OS? This updated version is not what we are expecting and we are also a little skeptical about its battery life. The 3,500mAh battery is supposed to last for no less than 22 hours of talk time per charge, but we’ll just have to see that in order to be sure that the number is not at all exaggerated.
