Although users have been able to pre-order them since October 17, the Nexus 9 tablet and Nexus Player streaming box are now officially available in Google Play in the US.
The Nexus 9 is currently being shipped, and listed as in-stock. The shipping will take place within 1-2 for its Indigo Black and Lunar White color options. The Sand variety is still under “coming soon” which means that the shipping will be delayed with a couple of days, hopefully. In the same time, users are only able to order and purchase the Wi-Fi variants, for the LTE version you will have to wait longer.
Those of you who already pre-ordered the device should expect an official Google email loaded with shipping information and details regarding the shipping, and you should also expect a package in the following days.
In the case you did not have a chance to pre-order the tablet, well; there is nothing to worry about. Google has more units in stock right now. You can order a 16GB at the price of $399 or 32GB at $479 Wi-Fi-only model today, in black and white. It will be shipped in two business days. Unfortunately, the LTE model is still unavailable so, if you are interested in ordering the sand color variety or the LTE model, you will need to wait a while.
The Nexus 9 is, in fact, the biggest model of tablet that Google recently announced since the Nexus 10 was introduced. The tablet comes with an 8.9-inch display with 2048 x 1536 resolution, and it is situated in the 4:3 aspect ratio. In the hardware department, Nexus 9 comes with 64-bit Tegra K1 chipset clocked at 2.3 GHz, a 6,700mAh battery and an 8 MP camera.
It is worth mentioning the fact that the tablet is the first device running Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, so you will be able to enjoy all those great new features and options. If you already pre-ordered the device, wait by the door to see your brand new tablet on the doorsteps.
