Eye Experience Update for Sprint-Branded HTC One
Along with the expansion of its enhanced 4G LTE service released today, Sprint has also started rolling out an over-the-air update to all its carrier-branded variants of HTC’ flagship Smartphone, the One (M8), currently located in the United States.
The update is only 250 MP, and it transports the recently-introduced Eye experience camera software, the famous feature of the Taiwanese company. Along with this notable addition, the update also brings a bunch of bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations.
Before rolling the update for its European owners of One, HTC confirmed that the new Eye experience, which adds plenty of new features of the existing camera functionality in the high-end flagship devices, would land on most of the HTC branded handsets in the near future. So far, only the Verizon variant of the device is ready to receive the update.
According to the official changelog, the update will bring the Android 4.4.4 KitKat version, the EYE experience, Face tracking, Split Capture, Face Fusion, Voice Selfie, Live Makeup and Photo Booth. As you can see, the update will be more than welcomed for those who enjoy capturing selfies and personal pictures with their smart devices.
How to Update HTC One Manually
In order to initiate the upgrade manually, make sure you have connected your device to a Wi-Fi network. Then, from the home screen, go to the Menu option, followed by Settings. Here, scroll down to the bottom and tap on “About Device”. Next, click on Software Update and Update Now. This will take a couple of minutes, and afterwards, your device will reboot. This is all. Now, your device is ready to roll the alleged Eye Experience update.
After the update, device owners will get better face tracking with their camera feature, especially when there are multiple persons in the same room or picture. In the same time, there is also the screen sharing feature, the Split Camera, which allows you to record video and take photos simultaneously with both the front and the rear-facing camera, and much more.
