OnePlus Two To be Released in Q2/Q3 2015
In September, OnePlus first released the idea of a second-generation variant for its highly popular flagship smartphones, the OnePlus One. Today, the OnePlus director Carl Pei announced that the upcoming CM featured phone will be called OnePlus Two, and it will be officially released next year.
OnePlus Two is expected to go on sale in Q2 or Q3 next year, and it will bring many new surprises when it comes to hardware specifications. Pei also confirmed that the main market for OnePlus Two remains the countries in developing world, and he insisted that India will be “one of the first countries OnePlus will release the Two in”.
As rumors suggest, OnePlus Two could feature a smaller display, and it will be slightly more expensive compared to the One. In what concerns the hardware part (specs wise), there are no official indications, but since Pei stated “new surprises” will come, we should expect something truly amazing compared to the first flagship.
While rumors circulate the internet regarding the future OnePlus Two release scheduled for the second or third quarter of the first year, One Plus one was released in India today, priced at Rs 21,999, and it will be available exclusively via Amazon India.
Currently OnePlus One is featuring a 5.5-inch 1080p display, powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 64 GB of internal storage. Also, the phone comes with a 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front-facing camera, and with a 3,100 mAh battery.
On the software front, the smartphone runs on the CyanogenMod ROM CM11s offering several customized features. With the Two flagship, we will definitely see some improvements in the hardware front, enhancements and changes that will make OnePlus Two the next—gen smartphone running an alternative operating system.
In case you are not a big fan of the CyanogenMod OS, but you still something similar to OnePlus, there is nothing to worry about. The company revealed its plans to release its own customized Android build in February next year.
