Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear Canada Release Dates announced
New information on the availability of the two devices announced by Samsung: Galaxy Gear and Galaxy Note 3. Reports say that they’ll be available in Canada starting October 4th. We were telling you, just a few days ago, about the release of the devices and the fact that a launch date wasn’t yet set. Well, it seems that Samsung has finally made the release date official. We don’t know which carriers will the handsets in their stores first, but at least we know, for now, that we have less than a month until we can purchase the two. Among the mobile operators to receive the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear in stock, are Rogers and Bell.
According to our source, Telus was the first operator to confirm the date, so they might be receiving the two handsets in October 4th. They didn’t mention the prices for the smartphone and smartwatch. The devices will be available on US carriers starting September 25. The Galaxy Gear will come with a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, a 1.9 MP built-in camera with auto-focus and 70 apps, will be powered by an 800MHz processor and a 315 mAh non-removable cell, which will last for one day. It will also come with 4GB of storage and 512MB of RAM.
The Note 3 comes in nine colors, so you can pick your favorite. It features a 5.7-inch Full HD 1080p Super AMOLED display, 3GB of RAM, a 3200mAh battery and runs Android 4.3 out of the box. It also comes with a 13MP camera on the back and a 2MP one up front. You’ll also get LTE, HSPA+, WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, an infrared blaster for using the Note 3 as a universal remote, MHL 2.0, and GPS/GLONASS.
