Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Release Date On Sprint Set For October 11th
Samsung does not want to fall behind in the tablets market sector either. They have just announced today that Sprint will be responsible for the new Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 sales. Starting from Friday on, October 11, the new tablet will be available for $49.99 on contract. It will only come in white color for now, but we were assured at the today’s press release that a black version will be out in time before the holydays.
No much will change from their previous tablet, Galaxy 2. In terms of hardware, it will have only 1 GB of RAM available (but that will suffice), an internal memory of 8/16 GB and microSD slot for another 64 GB additional memory and the battery is a 4000mAh, designed to support up to 7 hours of video playback. The CPU is slightly more powerful than its predecessor, a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor. As the name suggests it, the flat screen is 7.0 inch size (1024 x 600 pixels resolution), 16M colors.
As for the software counterpart, the original OS installed is the Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Android, a decent choice for such a tablet. The default types of messaging are included: SMS(threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Email and IM. The device has a 1.3 MP front facing camera and a 3MP rear facing camera which will allow very clear video phone calls to be performed via Skype or any other similar application. It will also have the WatchON TV application preinstalled and connecting to the internet via Wi-Fi or 3G your Galaxy Tab will become your portable mini TV, fit to watch shows or movie while travelling.
As a Samsung product, the device’s appearance will resemble the Galaxy S4 smartphone’s features. Built exclusively out of plastic and measuring 10.9 x 187.9 x 99mm, its weight is fairly small for a 7 inch tablet, only 300g. Being that slim, Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is to be considered among the most portable tablets. And we already know that Samsung is not a fan of fancy materials for their products, considering utility or performance better over the aspect. However, this one seems to target the middle category of buyers, not too fancy or expensive, while still good enough with good performances.
