How to Soft Reboot the LG G5
The LG G5 is easily one of the most interesting and surprising flagship devices of this year. Unlike other flagship smartphones, the G5 comes with an all metal design with zero antenna bands, a removable battery, a Snapdragon 820 chipset with 2.16GHz Quad-core Kyro CPU and a number of no less than 4GB of RAM, dual-rear cameras (16Mp 78 degree and 8Mp 135 degree), as well as a main 8Mp front camera – aspects that are becoming hard to find even in a premium smartphone nowadays.
LG G5 has all these and much more to offer, being extremely powerful and amazing in almost every regard. Despite of the fact that the device really stands out from the crowd of 2016 and seems to be a mixture of almost everything you’d like to find, don’t you imagine that it doesn’t become unresponsive from time to time.
This happens due to faulty applications or something crashing within the system software. In such a case, to make your experience of using the LG G5 better again and kick your device out of the unresponsive state, you need to soft reboot your LG G5.
In order to do that, hold the Power button located at the back of the device for approximately 10 seconds. The device’s screen should then go black and LG G5 should display the LG logo. Wait no more than a few seconds and then, switch on your device back by using the Power key.
Your phone should now be ready to use. However, if your phone starts crashing all the time or its performance is decreasing, then the best thing to is to factory reset it (aka hard reset). This process returns your device to the Factory state, but the trick is that all user applications and data will be removed once the process completes. That is why you have to back up your data before proceeding and only then apply the steps here described.
