Galaxy Gear is expanding borders
We are going to see more of those smart watches in the upcoming weeks. That is because Samsung has kept their promise to extend the compatibility of their Galaxy Gear to more devices. They have released it together with Galaxy Note 3, therefore that was the only suitable pair for the Gear, until now. They have officially announced that more smartphones will be compatible with those wrist fancy toys.
The list of smartphones that Samsung has released regarding this topic includes the Galaxy S4 –with its many models, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Zoom-, the Galaxy S3, the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy Mega, both 5.8 and 6.3 variants. The second and third were somehow expected, but Samsung really surprised us by adding so many S4 models to that list. The surprise was even bigger for Galaxy Mega.
A new update will be available for Android 4.3 Jelly Bean soon. There have been some reports from German users that they already updated their smartphones and were able to make them compatible with Gears. They said that the update will be made public at the end of the month, so don’t hesitate to check for it every now and then. The specific date is not clear, because it will arrive at different moments in every country. Anyway, the Galaxy Gear is becoming more and more like an epic fail as most of the users who have bought the smartwatch had decided to return the devices. Unfortunately for Samsung, the Galaxy Gear is not a real success as they expected. But what should it be? The price, the design, the fact that a classic watch is more useful and confortable, or maybe this new concept is not that appreciated by the Android user after all.
