Pebble Appstore to Release Android Beta 2.0
All Pebble owners should be glad today, since a beta version of the Pebble Android app will be soon available for download on their Android devices. The Android update will also be hitting the market soon enough. The news come right after Pebble updated its iOS app today, in order to make room for the long-expected appstore, previously announced at the Consumer Electronics Show last month. The release of the Android beta 2.0 is meant to help Pebble finish the Android app and ship it as quick as possible to all its users. The Beta will definitely report in some issues, but in case you are interested in downloading it, just hit the download button and have it right away.
As our source states, the issues coming with the beta version may be referring to the pairing process, as it might be difficult to configure an application it is already running on your Pebble. Thus, you will need to press the “Load” button on your device before you decide to install an application with the Pebble tool.
The store announced at the CES 2014 last month is now being enhanced into the Pebble app, with forthcoming updates. Up until now, the app is open for business, where you can navigate through thousands of new apps for your Android smartwatch.
The store will be displayed supporting different sections especially customized for apps and watchfaces, followed by subsections under apps for Tools & Utilities, Remotes, Notifications, Fitness, Games and “Daily” apps, that would help you find whatever you are looking for. There is also a “Locker” enhancement that will hold all your special apps and wathcfaces for fast transfers.
The Android update is due to arrive in the Google Play Store somewhere at the end of the week, but we will keep you posted on the news.
