LG Display Super Slim Full HD LCD Panel Specs
LG Display introduced the world’s slimmest full HD LCD smartphone. The display has 5.2-inches and a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and the LCD is 2.2mm thick, with a bezel of only 2.3mm. The idea was to create the thickest and easy-weighted headphone. However, we don’t know yet when the LCD will be available. Among the technologies used in order to obtain this slim profile, we must mention the Advanced One-Glass-Solution technology. The panel achieves 535 nits at max brightness, while the contrast is 3.74:1 based on 10,000 lux. LG Display chose to use Dual Flexible Printed Circuits, and not a single circuit.
According to our source, LG Display’s IT and Mobile Development Group’s VP Dr. Byeong-Koo Kim said that the “introduction of the world’s slimmest Full HD LCD panel represents an exciting advancement for the high-end smartphone segment, and is possible due to our world-class expertise in IPS and touch technologies.“ LG Display is the world’s largest LCD panel maker, and the super-slim full HD LCD panel looks almost like a book page. Every one of its pixels consists of RGB subpixels. Combined, all of these features make the new panel outperform every other current HD LCD panels, and Intertek has officially certified the results.
In addition, the panel will offer a larger visible display space on smartphones, besides the better grip and brightness. The panel could be used in the soon-to-be-launched LG Optimus G2. The device sound great and it’s clear that the company is customer oriented and willing to do anything in order to keep its clients pleased and loyal. I’m really looking forward to using it and hope it’s going to be used for a lot more devices in the future. What do you think? Technology is evolving quite fast and, if you don’t keep up, you might lose a lot of benefits. Don’t you agree?
