Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A Benchmark courtesy of AnTuTu
We have repeatedly heard that Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A is the most hardware-packed smartphone of the moment. We know that this model was just announced as an improved version of the standard Galaxy S5, but are things as good as they are said? The first Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A benchmark that has appeared courtesy of AnTuTu is here to give us the answer that we have been looking for and we can tell you from the start that such a popular benchmark application for Android devices is a reliable source.
Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A at AnTuTu
In these conditions, according to AnTuTu, this new Galaxy S5 LTE-A version scores in at 35,411, so it is indeed better than all current high-end smartphones. Samsung’s Galaxy S5 LTE-A handset beats HTC’s One M8 device, as well as Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 and its Galaxy S5 brother. It is true that we are not talking about such a huge difference, but facts are facts and we cannot deny that those of you who bought the Galaxy S5 are no longer the owners of Samsung’s most powerful smartphone.
Moreover, previous benchmarks revealed that the most recent Snapdragon 805 processor is especially focused on graphics and not on performance, but this isn’t necessary a bad thing.
Galaxy S5 LTE-A Upgraded Technical Specs
As we have already told you, this new Galaxy S5 LTE-A upgrades a variety of specs over the original S5 and here we are talking about the processor, screen resolution, as well as the RAM.
In the first place, here we have a 16MP rear-facing camera (with image editing tools such as Phase detection autofocus, Autofocus, Touch to focus, Manual focus, High Dynamic Range mode) that has been once again chosen by Samsung for the S5 LTE-A, also being accompanied by a 2MP front-facing model. The 2800 mAh battery is also the same one found on the original Galaxy S5, not to mention the IP67 water and dust resistance certification.
When it comes to its QHD display, the resolution is of no less than 2560×1440 pixels, just as we can find on LG G3, Vivo Xplay 3S and a few other high-end devices from the current market.
As we have already told you, Samsung’s Galaxy S5 LTE-A is housing a Snapdragon 805 processor which is clocked at 2.5 GHz, also coming with an Adreno 420 GPU and no less than 3GB of RAM. And there is no reason to be worried about those 32GB of storage either; if you think that you need more than that, the microSD expansion of up to 128GB will solve your problems. And you don’t need us to tell you that it will run on Android 4.4, KitKat with TouchWiz on top of it.
And finally, don’t forget that S5 LTE-A has the following color options listed: Charcoal Black, Shimmer White, Electric Blue, Copper Gold, Sweet Pink, as well as a Glam Red limited version.
Have you already decided that this Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A is definitely what you are looking for? Then, you have to pay 940,500 won (around $919) on SK Telecom, with other South Korean carriers coming in the near future, but things don’t look that great for those hoping to see it on the international market as well. Here we have more details for those who are interested on that.
