Fix Battery Drain Issues on Galaxy S6
We have to agree on the fact that Samsung Galaxy S6 is an amazing smartphone for today’s competition. We love its technical specs and its beautiful metallic design, but this doesn’t have to mean that there are no problems to worry about.
In fact, you will be surprised to discover that one of them comes with the installation of the popular TWRP recovery that we have already talked about (read How to install TWRP Recovery on Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6; on International Samsung Galaxy S6; on various Galaxy S6 Versions – China, Korea, T-Mobile, US Cellular and more) – a battery drain problem in that respect.
Such a procedure has its own major advantages, but the problem is that Samsung’s Galaxy S6 also loses its battery-saver and that special function that we know as being called ‘deep sleep’, when it’s rooted or has custom recovery installed. At the same time, we don’t want you to get worried for nothing, as long as this problem that we are talking about exists only on some devices that have a TWRP custom recovery installed on them.
In case of not knowing for sure if your Galaxy S6 is affected by this battery drain problem or not, we have a solution for you. We advise you download and install “3C CPU Manager” application, in the first tab (CPU) in order to check the Up time and the actual Sleep time. If you have “0” sleep time, this is the best sign that your Samsung Galaxy S6 is indeed affected by this battery drain issue, so it’s time to take action or things might get even worst.
This is what you have to do, but not before rooting your Android device if you want this procedure to be a successful one (you can use one of our guides from the How to section).
