Get to Know Samsung Galaxy S9 Bixby

Samsung’s high-end Android phones come with their own voice assistant known as Bixby and there is nothing new about that. Bixby is standard on the new Galaxy S9 lineup and Samsung claims that it comes as an artificial intelligence system that’s designed to make device interaction easier, specifically made to avoid the complexity of increasingly fully-featured devices.

Samsung’s intelligence platform uses augmented reality , as well as deep learning technologies to provide helpful information about a user’s surroundings. With real-time object detection and recognition, Bixby instantly generates information directly on top of the image that the Galaxy S9 camera is pointing at.

You can also use it to translate foreign languages and currency in real time with Live Translation, but even with all these, there are still users who believe the very same thing; they still see Samsung’s personal assistant software as nothing more than bloatware from a company that has so much to offer and excels at other chapters.

Like the misplaced fingerprint sensor next to the rear camera lens of the Galaxy Note 8, Bixby’s place is questionable on a handset such as the new Galaxy S9. I feel the same too! I must be honest to myself and I realize that there are times when I try to press the power button and the result is unchanged: I also press the Bixby button along with it and it gets on my nerves.

So, after buying the device and settling with it, you start noticing the small things that you might not appreciate as much as the best ones.

I don’t know for sure if you agree with me or not, if you are at least willing to try it out on your Galaxy S9, but the truth is that more Bixby devices are coming. Samsung’s Family Hub fridge now comes with Bixby support, you can also answer your Ring doorbell through the refrigerator screen and the Korean manufacturer intends to integrate its AI assistant in numerous products during 2018 including TVs and kitchen appliances such as washing machines. What do you think of that? Is the idea tempting you or not ?
