Android 4.4.2 KitKat OTA Update On its Way to AT&T and T-Mobile HTC One

After we have seen both Sprint and Verizon HTC One versions receiving the Android 4.4.2 OTA update, now we can finally announce you that the KitKat firmware is also on its way to AT&T and T-Mobile models of HTC One – the release date is sooner than you might think. To be more precise, the technical approval for Android 4.4.2 has been officially received, as Mo Versi, HTC’s Executive Director of Product Management has just declared, which means that it is just a matter of time until all  users will enjoy the latest KitKat features and improvements on their devices.

Last minute details were offered by a tipster in New York who has posted some screen shots of KitKat on his HTC One from T-Mobile, proving us the update has already started to spread over the air.

And we must tell you from the start that you should be careful about the fact that the file is no less than 560MB, so before dreaming of this KitKat update you must have a a solid network connection in order to be sure that the download can be successful.

What should you be expecting at?

As you probably know, the Android 4.4.2 update is the latest release of the Android platform, coming with a set of enhancements such as a new full-screen mode, restyled status and navigation bars, SMS/MMS support, new photo editing options and many more capabilities for a better experience.

And this KitKat update doesn’t come alone. HTC One owners should also expect receiving the Sense 5.5 version, which means that we are once again talking about new features. From what we know at this point and as our source confirms, one of them it is the popular BlinkFeed feature, not to mention the updated photo gallery application or the simplified the lock screen widget set-up.
