AT&T Releases Android 4.4 KitKat OTA (KKUCUBNI1) for Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom
AT&T and Samsung are a “little bit late”. Actually a year late, as the carrier just announced that during the following days, Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom will finally receive the KitKat treatment. So, when everybody else is talking about new Android 5.0 Lollipop roll outs, AT&T is bringing Android 4.4 KitKat to its Galaxy S4 Zoom devices.
Well, if there are still S4 Zoom users who are on stock Android Jelly Bean OS (though most likely, you are all running on a custom ROM firmware by now) they should be prepared for this new KitKat release. Don’t get too excited though as this update will bring only default Android 4.4 apps (and now 4.4.x features) for your cameraphone, while it is still unclear whether AT&T will push further OTAs for this device or not.
Bottom line, with this new Android OS, you will be able to experience a better Android firmware. According to AT&T, with KKUCUBNI1 KitKat, your Galaxy S4 Zoom will run better and faster. Moreover, the batter life will be improved and the web browsing experience also updated. Thus, after all, do flash KKUCUBNI1 Android 4.4 software in order to receive new stability improvements and various KitKat features.
Do note that if your device is rooted and installed with a custom ROM, you will not be able to receive the official notification. In that case, you will have to manually download Android 4.4 KitKat KKUCUBNI1 firmware and install the ROM on your Galaxy S4 Zoom through Odin or Samsung KIES.
Well, that was all for now. All these are official data, as the AT&T KitKat OTA release has been announced by Samsung (for more info go here). So, what do you say, are you ready to update your Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, or you rather choose a custom ROM instead?
