Official Android 5.0.2 Lollipop Available for Motorola Moto E
Moto E is a new project made available by Motorola in form of a new perspective over the budget friendly smartphone category. Thus, with Moto E, Motorola managed to develop something quite unique: a device offered on a real affordable price tag that comes along with real decent specs and features. So, even though the price is low, the hardware performances are satisfying enough for an entry level user or even for average expectations.
What’s even more important is that Motorola is currently preparing the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop release for the same mid range and budget friendly Moto E. So, just like with its Moto X and Moto G, Motorola managed to deliver in time Lollipop updates for handsets that aren’t such popular with smartphones like Galaxy Note 3, which by the way is still waiting for a Lollipop confirmation.
Anyway, Moto E can be updated to official Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, though only manually so far. The OTA firmware is still in testing phase, but an official roll outs should be made available during the following days. Anyhow, Motorola did made available the stock Lollipop ROMs, so as usual, those of xda-developers managed to deliver compatible update packages.
Therefore, you can anytime choose to download these updates and to flash the ROMs on your own versions of Motorola Moto E. Keep in mind that you will install the official Android OS, so the warranty of your phone will not get void while completing the update process.
