How to Take Selfies on LG G5
The LG G5 has been one of the most awaited phones of the year and owners have not waited in vain. The device has something for everyone and I am not at all surprised to see that forums have been buzzing with questions about certain functions or stories about what the owners discovered.
LG likes to pack a lot of features into their devices and the G5 is no different. For example, with the front camera, you can tale the best selfie photos ever and even more, there are different ways to take selfie shots on your phone. Among the available options included you can find the following:
How to Take Selfies on your LG G5:
Use Gesture Shot – the device that you won has this amazing feature called gesture shot where you don’t have to press the camera click button to take a selfie. In fact, you won’t even have to touch the screen, but you can actually take selfies by using gestures. To do so, just show your palm to the front camera and then clench your fist. Wait for three seconds and your photo will be taken.
Alternatively, you can just clench your fist and then open it towards the front camera and always make sure that your palm and fist are within the reference line so that the camera can detect them. However, if you want to use this option, you must activate or enable gesture shot under camera options beforehand.
Use Interval Shot – if you like the idea of taking continuous selfies. For that to be possible, tap and hold the Capture photo icon while using the front camera or show your palm to the camera, and then clench your fist twice quickly. There will be four photos taken at a three second interval. However, enabling Gesture Shot under Camera options for this to work is a must;
Use Auto-selfies – even more, I want you to know that you can use the face detection feature to take selfies conveniently at any time. You can set the device so that, when you look at the screen, the front camera detects your face and the magic takes place. To be more precise, the frame turns blue if you stop moving, and the front camera takes a photo.
Here’s what you must do in order to activate the auto-selfie function on your LG G5 phone:
- First, open the Camera;
- Then, you need to tap the Camera settings icon;
- Tap the Gesture Shot icon until the capture face icon appears.
Use Gesture View – by using this function, you can automatically check the captured photo after taking it using the front camera lens without even tapping on the screen. For that, you must:
- Tap the Home key;
- Up next, tap Camera;
- Take a photo with the front camera lens;
- After taking the picture, bring the LG G5 smartphone close to your face. You will then see the captured photo right there, on the screen.
So, you see that taking selfies has never been easier and more fun!
