Huawei P20 Pro: Learn to Shoot Photos in 40MP Resolution
Dual camera Android handsets are now fairly common, but Huawei has taken things further than that. Well, you already know that the Huawei P20 Pro smartphone features the world’s first triple camera ever seen on a smartphone. You don’t see every day a device with a 40MP shooter, with three cameras that triple the fun, an AI-assisted camera experience, and features such as hybrid zoom, so Huawei P20 Pro camera truly promises to offer the best.
Anyway, by default, your Huawei P20 Pro comes with a configuration which allows you to click photos at 10MP resolution. The obvious reason for restricting the photos at 10MP by default is to save the space, but if this option doesn’t appeal to you and storage space is not yet an issue, then you have no other option but to try its 40MP shot.
You just need to enable this manually and do not worry about any tricky procedure that might harm your device as it isn’t the case. Here’s what you should do:
Learn to Shoot Photos in 40MP Resolution:
- At first, launch the stock camera app on your Huawei P20 Pro;
- Now, if you are not in the Photo Mode, slide the dial above the shutter button to bring on the photo mode on screen;
- After that, once you are in Photo Mode, tap on the Gear Icon present at the top right corner of the screen to open up the Settings Menu;
- From the menu, tap on the Resolution option and you see that by default, it is set to 10MP. It’s the ideal time to set it to 40MP, don’t you think?
So, the P20 Pro can never shoot at full resolution, unless you tell it to do so! But once you do that via the steps above, I am sure that you will love the result and never want to go back to the default setting.
