How to Rotate your Home Screen on your Galaxy Note 8

Tablets have always allowed one to lock the screen orientation to either portrait or landscape, but the latter has not been possible on certain Samsung smartphones. For example, Samsung’s Galaxy S9 smartphone comes with the option to rotate the home screen, but your Galaxy Note 8 doesn’t, so are you doing something wrong?

Don’t worry; your only guilt is curiosity, associated with the thrill of wanting more and you know me: I usually encourage you to do that. If sometimes you want to place your Galaxy Note 8 device in landscape, this guide will show you how simple actually is to rotate your Home Screen on this handset too. The trick is that your handset has to run on the latest version of Android.

So, you should not feel left out any longer. You can eventually use your Samsung phone in landscape mode and not have to deal with the orientation flipping back to portrait just because you turn your handset just a tad sideways.

Aren’t you sure that your device is running on the most recent Samsung Experience software update? Go into Settings, Display, Home screen, and you should see an option for “Portrait mode only”. If you do not see this option, then you are not on the latest version, which is 9.0.10.76, of the app. Go into About home screen and select update. If nothing happens this time either, you will just have to wait a little longer, but unfortunately, no one can tell you how long that will be.

How to Rotate your Home Screen on your Galaxy Note 8:

  1. At first, enter into settings;
  2. Then, you have to hit Home screen settings;
  3. From here, you can easily enable landscape mode, just as you have wanted from the start. That’s it.
