Turn On Flip to Shhh on your Pixel 3 XL
Are you annoyed by notifications or phone calls during work or sleep time? We use DND mode to reduce interruptions in our Android devices, but in the latest Google flagship, Google introduced a new feature called “Flip to Shhh”. Flip to Shhh practically turns on the Do Not Disturb mode when you flip your phone.
Yes, you are hearing it well: this feature silences your device when you flip the phone on a table (display facing down). It’s a quick way to turn on Do Not Disturb, especially if your Pixel 3 XL smartphone is vibrating loudly when you are expecting it the least to do it: in a meeting or an interview, during your final exams or while taking a nap.
Has this happened to you too? I can only say that it’s time to put it to an end. You can now turn on Flip to Shhh on your Pixel 3 XL smartphone and lucky for those who don’t own the device just yet, there is no single interesting feature that stays exclusive to a specific device for long. The development community already ported it to other Android devices too. That’s quite odd since Samsung had introduced an identical feature quite a few years back but the consumer response was clearly a negative one back then.
We have changed a lot in time and have new priorities in life though – that’s my very best explanation for this change of heart and some of the new features that Google has incorporated in its line of Pixel phones are indeed useful. Do you think the same about this one? Then, that’s what you have to do in order to activate it on your handset:
Turn On Flip to Shhh on your Pixel 3 XL:
- First of all, you have to enter into your Pixel 3 XL Settings;
- Then, you must go to Digital Wellbeing;
- Here you can find Flip to Shhh and toggle it on. That’s pretty much all you have to do and you already know what happens now!
