Pixel 3 XL: How to Effortlessly Take Wide Angle Selfies
It’s well known that Google Pixel is among the top performers in the world of smartphone photography and the new Pixel 3 XL phone carries this trait forward. The Pixel 2 and its XL brother already had one of the best cameras around (that is unless you want a secondary zoom or ultra wide-angle camera), but Pixel 3 XL is both faster and better.
It’s not easy to find devices which have excellent front and rear cameras, but yours cannot disappoint you when it comes to that. And believe it or not, the notch that you might not like so much on the Pixel 3 XL accommodates a second, wide-angle camera for group selfies. The Pixel 3 has this too (however, its cameras are in the top bezel), and you will most probably fall in love with effortlessly taking wide angle selfies too. Well, the wide-angle camera activates when you zoom out in selfie mode, allowing you to capture a larger area. Wide-angle selfies are nothing new.
LG’s G6 phone is one of the most popular ones offering you the chance to take wide-angle selfies, so you already know it: it’s a very nice feature, especially if you’re taking photos with a group. Do you also want more room to fit more people in the shot? That’s how you can make your wish come true:
How to Effortlessly Take Wide Angle Selfies:
- At first, you need to open the Camera app;
- Up next, tap the icon to the left of the shutter button to switch from the rear camera to the front camera;
- Now, you must simply tap the minus button on the zoom slider. This will take the perspective as far out as possible, switching to the wide angle lens as opposed to the standard lens. Quite a nifty little trick, isn’t it?
Remember that all Google’s Pixel phones are known for their incredible photographic capabilities, so don’t you imagine that this is the only little trick waiting for you. Quite the opposite, there are plenty of other guides that will show you the magic of this camera, so visit the How to section right away.
