ZTE Imperial Priced $0.01 through US Cellular
A new low-end device is now available at mobile phone shop US Cellular, and that’s the ZTE Imperial. It’s the 14th device to be added to the LTE-capable smartphones list and the offer is unbelievable: just $0.01 per month for a two year contract and a 299$ price tag off-contract. Although the price might enthusiast you, we feel sorry to tell you that specs reflect it so it’s not really the most magnificent smartphone you’ll get. Not even close. But if you’re looking for a phone that allows you to talk, take some personal photos or chat with your friends, but you’re on a budget, this is the device you need.
The handset is also capable for browsing the internet and use a few apps. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and has a 5MP camera, also supports both WiFi and portable network. The ZTE Imperial comes with a 4-inch WVGA (480×800) display and a 2500mAh battery and features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. Memory is pretty low – only 4GB with a MicroSD card slot, as our source points out, and 1GB of RAM.
The ZTE Imperial has been officially released June 26 and found its way to the stores the next day, carrying a front-facing camera for video calls, along with the 5MP one. The conclusion is that the ZTE Imperial is a mid-range smartphone for everyone to afford, and for that price tag, it will be a shame not to try it. After all, this is a smartphone. Just not one of the best. The handset also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Enjoy and tell us how it worked out between the two of you.
