ParanoidAndroid 4.6 custom ROM Released for Yu Yureka
Yu Yureka, the phone developed by those of Micromax in partnership with Cyanogen Inc., can now be updated with a new version of Android KitKat OS. As you know, Yu Yureka is featuring CM11 right of the box, thus KitKat OS is installed above all.
Now, Yu Yureka is a great phone as it brings something different for its users: a modified Android interface in form of CyanogenMod firmware – thus, in this case you will not have to follow a dedicated tutorial in order to update your phone with different versions of CM.
Anyway, we are still talking about an Android powered device, which means that you can anytime choose to tweak your phone by customizing and optimizing its stock CM 11 OS. In that matter, if you want to spice things up a little bit, note that ParanoidAndroid version 4.6 has been optimized and also released for your Yu Yureka.
ParanoidAndroid is a great custom ROM that comes with various features that cannot be found on the default Android system and which cannot be found on CM11 platform. Unfortunately, the 4.6 version of the firmware is still based on KitKat, thus your Yu Yureka will still be running on an older version of Android OS – as we all know, Lollipop was officially released last year.
However, if you want to test the new release of ParanoidAndroid on your own Yu Yureka, access this page and download the firmware on your computer (the ROM has been developed by those of xda-developers so don’t forget to thanks the devs for this update). Then, flash the ROM on your phone through a custom recovery image and just enjoy the new KitKat experience – root access will have to be ensured on your phone too.
Do remember that ParanoidAndroid represents an unofficial Android custom ROM firmware, so this update has nothing to do with Micromax or with Google. Thus, if you choose to install the software, you will lose your Yu Yureka warranty.
