How to Unroot Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge
Samsung has announced both its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge at MWC 2015 event which was held back in March at Barcelona, Spain and we cannot get tired of them. Galaxy S6 Edge managed to impress us all thanks to its curved display on both sides and powerful technical specs, but we know that many of you want even more and rooted it.

Superuser privilege is easy to obtain at this moment, but if you realize that you no longer require it, then you can unroot your Galaxy S6 Edge and restore it to its stock condition. If you are experiencing repeated issues after you do made too many modifications on it, don’t hesitate to take action – thus revoke root access and go back to stock as soon as possible.
This is a common procedure, so maybe you’ve done it before. However for those who haven’t, here we provide a simple guide that will make your wish come true, but not before backing up all the important data from your S6 Edge, enabling USB Debugging and charge your device to at least 60%, as it could shut down and brick in the process.
In order to be able to establish connection between your PC and your Galaxy S6 Edge, you need to have the Samsung USB drivers installed on your PC. And don’t forget to turn off Samsung Kies and other softwares while using Odin3! Samsung Kies could interrupt Odin3 and this will result in causing unwanted errors!

How to Unroot Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge:
- For the start, download and install Odin on your computer;
- Also download and extract the firmware file to get the .tar.md5 file. Find your version from here;
- Open Odin3.exe;
- Put your Galaxy S6 Edge in Download mode. To be more precise, turn it and then press and hold Volume Down + Home Button + Power Key at the same time. You should see a warning, press Volume Up to continue;
- Connect your device to your PC;
- As soon as Odin detects your phone, the ID:COM box should turn blue;
- Hit the AP tab;
- Choose the firmware.tar.md5 or firmware.tar that you have downloaded and extracted before;
- Hit Start and wait until the firmware flashing is complete;
- Once the flashing process has been completed successfully, disconnect your device and reboot it.
That’s all! Your device is no longer rooted, but back to its stock state, as you wanted it to be.
