How to Efficiently customize the LG V30 home screen
Now that the LG V30 is finally available all over the world, it’s starting to make its way into the hands of eager customers looking to try it out. Are you one of them too? Well, I think that there are quite a few essential things you might want to do with your V30 after pulling it out of the box and customizing the LG V30 home screen is definitely one of them.
There is a world of choices out here, so I hope that you will take the best decisions. After all, the display is the one that you are starring at a lot, so why not making it perfect for you?
You can select your preferred animations, and more by going to Settings > Display > Home screen. There are lots of things you can do here, including changing the Icon shape or choosing to tweak your Grid to display more app icons. Just toggle the Loop Home screen on and you can swipe round and round through your home screens in an infinite loop.
You can also change the Screen swipe effect or toggle on Weather animation, which shows rain or snow when the weather turns bad outside. And in place of the secondary display that we have seen on V10 and V20, it seems that the V30 features a floating shortcuts bar, with functions like selective screenshots (so you don’t have to capture your entire screen and crop it down anymore), scrolling screenshots, and not only.
This is usually the type of feature that I turn off immediately, as I do with Samsung’s Apps Edge, but the features LG packs into the floating bar are actually useful, and you can add your own shortcuts for a more custom feel.
Even more, you know that by default, LG has decided to put all your app icons on your home screens, but I know that some of you still miss the old app drawer. If you are one of them too, just follow these steps:
- First, go into Settings;
- Select Home Screen under the Display section;
- Then, you must tap on the Select Home button;
- Select Home & app drawer, and you’re done!
