How to Use Samsung Smart View App on your Galaxy S9 Plus
When you want to share the content of your Galaxy S9 Plus phone to several people or just want to watch the videos stored in your phone on a much larger display, then there is no better option than using Samsung’s Smart View App. The Samsung Smart View screen mirroring feature is nothing new, so be sure that it will work flawless.
Your handset’s screen is excellent, I know it too, but there are times when it’s nice not to have to stare at a tiny display, especially when you have guests or when details matter the most. With such an app, Samsung is way ahead of you, so don’t hesitate to display content from your Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus on a television.
You can project not only your photos, but also videos, presentations, as well as games on a bigger screen for your viewing pleasure, so here’s how to do it.
Getting ready:
- Make sure that both your TV and the phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network;
- Note that certain TV models also require that you manually switch the input mode or turn on screen mirroring. For example, on the Amazon Fire TV, head over to Settings > Display & Sounds and choose to Enable Display Mirroring.
Detailed procedure:
- Enable screen mirroring on your S9 Plus device and make sure that screen mirroring is enabled on your host device too;
- Go to Smart View by swiping down on your device with two fingers. This will give you access to the Quick Settings Panel;
- You have to look for the Smart View icon and tap on it;
- Look for the TV among the available devices that you want to project your files to;
- If no option is available, ensure that your TV/external display supports screen sharing and that it is turned on;
- Also note that some TV’s require a PIN or confirmation to allow access or connection;
- When you are done viewing all your files that you want to see on the big screen, then simply tap on the option that says Disconnect.
