After just releasing the Windows 8 Iconia W4 8-inch tablet along with several other Android models such the Iconia B1 and A1 slates, Acer has even more surprised and launched a new Tab 7 model. The best part is that this tablet is currently sold by the Chinese retailer JD for a very attractive price tag of no more than $99. Although there is no information if this model will be released on other markets or not, we still think that this budget friendly tablet has a big future in front of it. We saw so many affordable devices in 2013 and we all know how public responds to these products that successfully balance their low price with decent specs and this is exactly what Acer Tab 7 can offer us:
The tablet comes with a 7-inch LCD capacitive multi-touch display that has a resolution of no less than 1024 x 600 pixels and although we have seen better than that, there’s still no reason to be complaining about this aspect. It has good viewing angles, not to mention that it is bright enough and that’s exactly what we needed to hear.
Acer Tab 7 also gets its power from Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. And even more, as our source also mentions, our model here sports two cameras – both a 3MP on the back and a 2MP in front and features none other than Android 4.2 OS version out of the box.
So yes, this Acer Tab 7 comes as the first cheap tablet from a much bigger list that the Taiwanese company is preparing for 2014. Let’s just hope that they aren’t just targeted at developing markets, like China and that their specs will be at least as attractive as these ones that we have just talked about.
Let us know what you think about this Acer Tab 7 in the comments section bellow and if you’d be interested on buying it from the Chinese retailer JD for this amazing price . We are just curious to find out if it is indeed as good as it seems. And if Acer will offer another version with the same specs in any other region that this one, be sure that we’ll keep you updated.
