As we have previously told you, HTC One M8 will have two Snapdragon 801 chipset versions for different regions. If you live in US or Europe, you’ll receive the 2.3 GHz MSM8974AC chipset variant with a Qualcomm MSM8974AB processor, while if you live in Asia, a better 2.5 GHz MSM8974AC chipset is waiting for you, as the one already found in Samsung’s Galaxy S5. This interesting Asian HTC One M8 version has been spotted in AnTuTu, so here we have more details for all of you who might be interested:

Different CPU clock speeds

AnTuTu has revealed a bit more about the performance that this Asian HTC One M8 is ready to offer and given the circumstances, we are sure that you might be expecting to find out that this HTC variant is much faster than the other model. Strange or not, things might not be that different after all. The results that have just been revealed are showing an almost similar performance to the other HTC One M8 version which is prepared for the US and EMEA regions.

So, we are talking about a result of 37009 on the AnTutu benchmark, being almost the same number for the other model. These different CPU clock speeds (2.5GHz vs. 2.3GHz) might not be so important after all, all of us having equal chances of enjoying what this HTC One M8 handset has to offer:

Full HD resolution, Duo Camera, BoomSound experience

As a reminder, we are also talking about a 5inch display having a Full HD resolution, which means a pixel density of 441ppi while the contrast ratio and viewing angles are better than the ones found on its predecessor, not to mention that HTC One M8 comes with an amazing Duo Camera. Using the new HTC One M8 the main Ultrapixel camera, you can take photos in the normal way, while a secondary sensor has the ability to capture depth information.

And let’s not leave aside the BoomSound experience there waiting for you. The existing front-facing stereo speakers have much larger speaker chambers than before and even a redesigned amplifier for the best results possible. So, here we have the offers currently available in US for this new HTC One M8 handset and soon we’ll come with more details regarding the Asian version as well.
