Samsung has just made its Galaxy S5 Mini official and as the company has revealed, the handset will be released in Russia early this month in no less than four color versions: Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue, as well as Copper Gold. Are you interested to find out more details about this new handset? So were we.

Galaxy S5 Mini: Possible Retail Price

Pricing details have not been officially announced yet, but this doesn’t have to mean that we have no information. If we take in consideration an unconfirmed report, Galaxy S5 Mini will have a retail price of no more than €479.

The price is only for the Eurozone, so we are expecting some variations in other regions, as long as they generally have higher prices.

Samsung’s Galaxy S5 mini Specs and Features

Samsung Galaxy S5 mini comes with a 4.5″ Super AMOLED screen with a maximum 720p resolution, while the power is offered by four Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.4GHz. The RAM remains unchanged at 1.5GB and if you are not pleased by its internal storage of 16GB, you can simply use a microSD card slot and you’ll immediately solve this problem.

When it comes to its battery capacity, here we have a mini version with a 2,100mAh model, not to mention that the handset packs the same 8MP camera which has the usual Shot & more and Virtual Tour modes from the big Samsung Galaxy S5 model along with the S Studio editor that many Galaxy S owners have talked about.

This Galaxy S5 mini version runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and features the usual S Health, Kids mode, Ultra Power Saving mode, as well as Private mode.

As for its dimensions, here we have 131.1 x 64.8 x 9.1 and a weight of 120g, compared to 124.6 x 61.3 x 8.9 mm and 107g of the Galaxy S4 mini. And don’t forget that the handset is IP67 certified, so it is dust tight and can be submerged under up to a meter of water for 30 minutes. So, despite of the fact that there is no flap covering the microUSB 2.0 port on the bottom, the Korean company has managed to add a special coating, still making its Galaxy S5 mini handset an water resistant one.
