Samsung Unveils Galaxy A5 and A3 With Metal Unibody Design
Being the subject of multiple rumors and leaks, in Halloween’s eve, Samsung is officially introducing their metal-clad Samsung Galaxy A5 and Samsung Galaxy A3.
The Korean manufacturer confirms the fact that the new phone line features a trendy designed aimed to a younger market thanks to an all metal unibody exterior and aside profile. Comparing to iPhone’s design, Samsung suggests that this line of devices represents their thinnest Smartphone yet.
The Galaxy A5 measures in at just 6.7 mm thin while its little brother is only 6.9mm (the same as the iPhone 6). In the same time, there are 5 colors for each device, limited by region: Pearl White, Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Light Blue and Champagne Gold.

The other interesting feature is the front facing camera. Samsung decided to use a 5MP shooter on the front mostly since youngsters enjoy taking selfies. The A series is aimed to the design and aesthetics, without taking into consideration the device’s power. As a matter of fact, here is what you will find underneath each metal unibody.
Samsung Galaxy A5 Specs and Features
The Galaxy A5 is powered by a 1, 2 GHz unnamed quad-core processor, and 2GB of RAM memory. The internal storage memory is 16 GB with the possibility to be extended through an SD card up to 64 GB. The device has a 5-inch HD SAMOLED display, and the battery is 2,300 mAh. Regarding the already-mentioned camera feature, users will get a 13 MP rear camera and 5MB front-facing camera.
Samsung Galaxy A3 Specs and Features
The A3 device powers the same 1.2 GHz unnamed quad-core processor, but with only 1GB of RAM memory. The qHD SAMOLED display is slightly smaller and measures only 4-5 inch. The handset will bring 16 GB of internal storage, again with the possibility of expansion up to 64 GB.
Both of these two A series devices will bring the LTE Cat 4 possibility, as well as the NFC option in the case of LTE devices. Out of the box, they will be running Android 4.4 KitKat.
Samsung mentioned the fact that both devices will definitely be headed to China, but their availability will also be limited to other select markets as well. There are no rumors regarding the pricing yet.
