How to Hide Samsung Galaxy S10E Circle Hole Punch
Are you the happy owner of a Samsung Galaxy S10E handset? After spending more than a few days with the very same smartphone, I’ve come away thoroughly impressed with the tweaks and improvements the tech giant has made to its new device, even if the S10 abd S10 Plus models are supposed to be better.
Do you agree with all of them though? Let’s check this one out. Samsung’s Galaxy S10E doesn’t have a notch in its Infinity-O display. Instead, it has a cutout for the front-facing camera.
The cutout for the camera is actually a circle hole-punch on your case and this means one thing for me: trouble!!! The cutout is in the top-right corner of the display, and it’s downright distracting. Thankfully, Samsung included an option to hide the hole-punch camera with a quick settings change.
Keep on reading to find out how to take advantage of that.
Ready for hiding the punch?
Your new Samsung Galaxy S10E has this new hole-punch design on the front-facing camera that allows for thinner bezels along the top of the screen. The S10E that you own might indeed have a circle hole punch, while the S10 Plus has a longer cutout to accommodate the dual lens selfie camera, but this doesn’t mean that you are willing to put up to this nonsense.
The punch holes are very distracting, especially if you’re using an app with a white background. So, is the punch hole not up to your liking? I could not agree more. If yes, the circle hole punch can be easily hidden and here I am to show you the way:
How to Hide Samsung Galaxy S10E Circle Hole Punch:
- First of all, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings;
- Tap Display;
- Then, tap Full Screen Apps;
- You can now toggle the option that says Hide front camera.
You’ll now see a black bar that appears across the top of the screen. You need to decide if this is the look that you want.
