LG G Pro 2 Scheduled for a February 13 Revealing
LG has just announced a new event in Korea on February 13th, but the invite is more than mysterious. As you can see by yourself, it only says ‘knock-knock knockin’ on’, so you must be thinking that we have no clues regarding what we could see at this the event. Things are a little different though as long as we know that LG G2 had this Knock ON, double tap to wake up feature for unlocking the smartphone, so the its predecessor would obviously have the same feature as well. In these conditions, there are big chances for this LG G Pro 2 to be the device scheduled for a February 13 revealing, the event starting at 10:30 am KST / 7:00 am IST.
Specs and features
According to certain rumors, the G Pro 2 would come with a 6-inch Full HD display, while other have pointed to a 5.7 inches one, a slightly smaller display than our previous expectation, but nothing is known for sure at this point.
We only hope to be an Ultra-HD screen with a resolution of 1440×2560 QHD pixel, not to mention that LG G Pro 2 is also rumored to come equipped with a Snapdragon 800 processor paired with 3GB of RAM.
When it comes to its camera, the story is completely different. Earlier this week, the manufacturer has already confirmed the fact that its G Pro 2 would include a 13-megapixel rear camera 4K video recording, as well as with LED flash or OIS Plus and a secondary 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera too, which is supposed to work incredibly well even in low light conditions. As for the OS, we don’t imagine anything lower than Android 4.4 KitKat.
First appearance and availability
If this February 13 revealing turns out to be true, then we are talking about a much earlier appearance (with two weeks, to be more precise) than the first one initially planned for the Mobile World Congress 2014. In any case, we’ll let you know if LG actually unveils its G Pro 2 at the event; as for its availability, the device is expected to go on sale in Korea later this month, but as our source confirms, there is no word on the possibility of an international availability at the time.
