With the recent launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5 at the Mobile World Congress, the Korean smartphone manufacturer is already putting their top of the line handset at the disposal of the US carriers as well as in Europe, still with an unannounced future date. First, we are talking about the smartphone`s availability in the US, with the AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon that will be supplying the American territories starting with April.
Galaxy S5 flagship will be reaching its fans on April 11, as the company announced on Monday. The carrier responsible with the shipping of the smartphone at the established date, would be the AT&T network, confirming the date but promising to come back with fresh news at “a later date”. On the other hand, just as we speak, Best Buy has already been opened for pre-orderings on the device.
As for the other American carriers, the old T-Mobile and Sprint, reports state that they will also start selling the flagship in April, but didn’t state when it would be and the prices involved. We should be able though to receive more information in “the coming weeks”, to state the press releases on Monday.
The top of the line Galaxy S5 will also be released worldwide in 150 countries in April, as Samsung`s Vice President of European Telecom Operations Jean-Daniel Ayme confirmed at the Mobile World Congress.
Samsung Galaxy S5 was officially launched last night at the Mobile World Congress, sporting a 5.1-inch screen, a built-in fingerprint scanner competing with iPhone 5S, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor good for 2.5GHz and 2GB of RAM.
The flagship is running on Android 4.4KitKat and comes equipped with 16GB or 32GB internal storage, with extendable storage via a MicroSD slot card, hooked up at a massive 2800mAh battery that can support heavy app usage.
The smartphone`s main attraction is its 16 megapixel camera with autofocus and capable of shooting 4K, enhancing other important shooting features like Select Focus Mode, Virtual Tour Shoot, HDR (Rich Tone) and much more.
