T-Mobile Note 3 Updated to Android 4.4 OS
We have just seen US Cellular’s Galaxy Note 3 version receiving its update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS and now owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on T-Mobile are going to enjoy Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) update sooner than they are expecting. The newest version of Android available is spreading over-the-air as we are speaking, but you must be careful about something: the file is of no less than 500MB in size, so be sure that you have available such space for downloading it in the first place.
The Changelog from Samsung
Unfortunately, T-Mobile hasn’t listed a changelog and has only mentioned that the Android 4.4 KitKat update will come with a variety of new “user improvements”, but here we have what the changelog from Samsung includes and we can tell you that it is more than tempting.
Aside from the obvious upgrade to Android 4.4.2, we can also find new Media Controls (full-screen album art and media controls when listening to music, as the company claims), as well as a Camera Shortcut that offers you access to the Camera application directly from the lock screen.
Have you always wanted Expanded Emoji Icons and wireless printing? That is exactly what your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 device will have after receiving this update as long as it supports printing over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, not to mention the SMS App Chooser, so you can easily select a default application for both sending and receiving SMS text messages or the Restyled Status and Navigation Bars which are now are translucent and can sit on top of apps. And don’t forget that location services are now integrated and more detailed thanks to the new Location menu.
Grab the update by yourself
Haven’t you received any notification letting you know that the update is waiting? Then grab the update by yourself and head into Settings>More>About device>Software update. And if it isnt there either, just wait a few days until the KitKat update reaches all T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 owners.
