Moto X Running Android 4.4 KitKat – New Touchless Control Update
Motorola has just updated the Touchless Control app in Google Play and we must tell you from the start that it’s more than a simple bug-fix. The latest version of this application comes with an interesting feature that reads your notifications aloud allows, as well as the ability to speak your PIN number to unlock it. Are you curious to give it a try? Then you should now that the new Touchless Control Update is available in U.S. English, Spanish and Italian, with various other languages wearing the beta tag in this release, but you must be sure that your Motorola Moto X is running the latest version of Android before trying the feature: Android 4.4 KitKat.
Magical Words: What’s up? and Read notifications
As we have told you, the new update comes with the ability to have the Motorola Moto X read notifications aloud so that you don’t have to look at the phone to know what it’s trying to tell you.
All you have to do is to install the update and simply ask the magical words: “What’s up?” or “Read notifications”, but only after you have already activating Touchless Control by saying “OK Google Now.” The app will actually read aloud all notifications, according to the language that you have previously selected.
And Motorola is also promising a better “end-of-speech detection,” which should change those annoying long pauses after giving a voice command to your handset into improvement accuracy and response time.
Compatible only with Android 4.4 KitKat OS
As we have already told you from the start and as the change log mentions as well, this new Touchless Control update is compatible only with Android 4.4 KitKat OS, which means that it is available not only on the Motorola Moto X, but also on Droid Ultra, Droid Mini and Droid Maxx. So, if you are on of those who meet these criteria, don’t hesitate to download the latest Touchless Control version.
