Sony Xperia Z2 Pre-orders Removed on Regional Websites
We have just discovered that Sony Xperia Z2 pre-orders have been just removed across all of the company’s official regional websites. It is true that the handset is still listed in each store, but you can no longer pre-order it if you want to do so. Even more, do you remember all those promotional pre-order banners for the Xperia Z2? We have seen them everywhere, but now they have been removed as well, letting us wonder what’s happening with the company and its smartphone.
Xperia Z2 Manufacturing Issues
We have never seen anything like this for any other handset that has already started pre-orders, so it is indeed a strange situation, but there is a possible explanation for this mysterious case. At the beginning of the month, we have heard a rumor saying that this Sony Xperia Z2 smartphone might be delayed due to some serious manufacturing issues. The delay was due to a certain supplier issue and such problem would potentially force the company to initially launch its Sony Xperia Z2 in very small quantities.
We cannot be sure about this rumor, but let’s admit the fact that the scenario doesn’t sound as being too far from the truth. Sony hasn’t been indeed able to produce enough Xperia Z2 units to meet the increasing demand, but we still cannot be sure that a manufacturing issue is responsible of this situation.
So, what’s your opinion on the situation? Are you also one of those who want to pre-order Sony’s Xperia Z2 device? In this case, we totally understand your disappointment and be sure that we’ll keep an eye an things and return with more information about Xperia Z2’s release date in the near future.
