Galaxy S5 to be Launched in India on March 27th
Samsung has announced that its Galaxy S5 is scheduled to be launched in India on March 27th. To be honest, Samsung has been extremely prompt in releasing its new handsets in India, so we are not at all surprised by this latest information. The company has not announced yet any other pricing details up to now, we have to wait a few more days in order to know that for sure. And there is something else that we can tell you: Samsung will likely start taking pre-orders on the same day, though the Galaxy S5 availability will actually start on April 11.
For those of you who don’t know…
This Galaxy S5 is a water-resistant handset that sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display of 1080p resolution (the same one that we have previously seen on its Galaxy S4 predecessor) and gets the power from a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
Samsung Galaxy S5 packs in a 2,800 mAh, battery and let’s not leave aside the fact that the device and comes with some interesting power-saving features in order to make it last another 24 hours on standby. And that’s not all! Besides the Ultra Power Saving Mode for extended battery life, Galaxy S5 runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with an improved version of Samsung’s custom UI, not to mention its unique features like heart rate monitor and a fingerprint sensor. Some of you might be indeed disappointed that we are not talking about a Galaxy S5 metal body, but don’t you imagine that we are talking about cheap plastic. That’s not the case and we actually like the fresh color options that you can choose from.
As for Samsung’s Galaxy S5 release in China, we think that the device won’t come alone, but along with Gear 2 and Gear Fit; anyway, we’ll return with fresh details in the upcoming days.
