Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OTA Update Released for HTC Butterfly
We have good news for all HTC Butterfly possessors. The smartphone is getting an update to Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and Sense 5 UI, but it seems that it’s only available for the Taiwanese version for the moment. The device has been released December 2012 in Japan and it’s been running Sense 4 ever since, so an update was necessary. The HTC Butterfly is designed to fit perfectly in your hand, being slimmer, curvier, and more comfortable than other phones of its kind (sizes are of 143 x 70.5 x 9.08 mm, and it weights 140 grams with the battery included). It is an amazing smartphone, although some complain about the 2020 mAh battery.
Now let’s talk a little about the specs. The HTC Butterfly comes with a 440PPI, 5-inch, 1080p full HD super LCD 3 display, two cameras (an 8MP rear one with auto focus and LED flash and a 2.1MP front one) and a 1.5 GHz Quad-Core S4 processor. You can listen to HD sound with the help of the exclusive built-in amplifier for Beats Audio. You’ll have a total storage of 16GB with MicroSD extension up to 32GB, and 2 GB of RAM. According to out source, there’s no word yet on when the update to Android JB 4.2.2 is going to be available in the US, for all the HTC Butterfly users.
Along with the OTA update, you will also get a series of changes like: HTC BlinkFeed, New lock screen style: widget, Show battery level in status bar, Add sleep mode option in Power settings Notifications, Quick settings, AE/AF lock feature: lock exposure/focus at viewfinder screen, Video Highlights, Music player with visualization and lyrics and the New HTC keyboard. So go look for the update in your smartphone and enjoy the wonderful advantages it has to offer!
