HTC Desire 601 and Desire 300 announced
HTC presented a bunch of new devices so far at IFA, including two new smartphones: the HTC Desire 601 and Desire 300, two mid-range headphones. The 601 model is the first from the Desire family to come with LTE support. It is expected in Europe this month. Its specs, which we’ll talk about later on, are similar to those of the HTC One Mini. However, the second has a metal unibody, while the Desire 601 comes with a polycarbonate shell. But the HTC Desire 601 also has a soft-touch back, which HTC calls “baby soft” texture. The Desire 300 is also made of plastic and is was made to replace last year’s Wildfire C. It is said to hit the UK in October.
Specs wise, the Desire 601 has a 4.5-inch qHD LCD display, runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 dual-core CPU at 1.4GHz, has two large “BoomSound” front-facing speakers and a 5-megapixel camera. As our source states, it comes with HTC BlinkFeed, HTC Zoe with Video Highlights and HTC Sense, identically with the HTC One. It features Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The Desire 300, on the other hand, packs a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 512MB of RAM and a 4.3-inch WVGA laminated display. It also features Android JB 4.2.2 with HTC Sense and holds a 1650mAh battery.
As o conclusion, we could say that the Desire 601 is the best looking and the most powerful smartphone from the Desire family. It will come in red, white and black color schemes, as you can see from the image above. The Desire 300 comes with a 5 MP Auto Focus Camera and a VGA front camera, which is not bad considering other entry-level devices. We’re expecting patiently to get our hands on the two new smartphones from HTC. What do you think about them?
