How to Get Instant Zoom on Pixel 3 XL Camera
Google’s already proven it’s able to give us an impressive camera the Pixel 2. Now, on Pixel 3 XL, it’s making it even more surprising. Speaking of the hardware, the Pixel 3 XL comes with a 12.2-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, optical (OIS) and electronic image stabilization, while on the front, there are two selfie cameras, each with 8-megapixels.
Well, I think that these cameras are excellent on their own. However, Google’s always fancied itself as having a magic box and this time it’s the AI and machine learning used to enhance photos.
Features like “Top Shot,” “Photobooth, “Night Sight”, “Motion Auto Focus”, or “Super Res Zoom” are a pure joy to discover. Speraking of that, you’ve probably seen that we’ve guided your journey in the past few days.
Use Super Res Zoom…
Well, you already know that you can zoom in on subjects with your Pixel 3 and get decent shots, even without a telephoto lens, thanks to the Super Res Zoom feature.
All you must do to make it possible is to look for a small magnifying glass icon at the bottom or top right of the viewfinder window in the camera app when you’re using the main camera. Tap on this icon to open the zoom slider and you are good to go!
Or Get Instant Zoom
If you want to instantly zoom on something and you’ve only got one hand free, things couldn’t be any easier. Yes, you can easily get Instant Zoom on your Pixel 3 XL camera. Here I am here to show you how to do it. Well, just double tap anywhere in the viewfinder and the camera will jump to 2x zoom. This is great if you don’t have a free hand to use the slider, but it’s not full zoom – you can then zoom in further if you wish.
The camera on the Google Pixel 3 XL is good, but do you know what you can really do with it? Let’s take a slightly more considered look to see where it excels and what you haven’t discovered yet. So, just keep on reading our other Pixel camera guides.
